Dr Pepper Bean & Beef Stew
1 lb. Beef stew meat
1 Tbsp. Flour
1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp. Minced garlic
2 Cups Beef stock
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Ground black pepper
1 tsp. Dried thyme
1 Cup Mushrooms, sliced
2 Cups Red potatoes, diced 1/2"
2 Cups Baby carrots
1 Can Serious Bean Co. Dr Pepper Baked Beans
Pat meat dry with a paper towel, then toss in flour until evenly coated.
In a dutch oven or heavy pan over medium heat, brown the meat on all sides.
Once the meat is brown, add the onions and continue cooking until onions begin to brown.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until garlic begins to brown.
Deglaze the pan with the beef stock, scraping the bottom of the pan to remove any browned bits.
Add the remaining ingredients except Dr Pepper Beans, cover, and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes add the Dr Pepper beans and simmer another 10 minutes.
