FOODSERVICE Mustard Bean & Brat Pretzel

A simple solution for the perfect crowd-pleasing appetizer.


• 10 pounds bratwurst

• 1 #10 can Serious Bean Co. Mustard BBQ Baked Beans

• 3 Cups beer (or water)

• Soft Pretzels, as needed


Place the bratwurst on a preheated and oiled grill or griddle.

Once the exterior of the bratwurst has browned, transfer to an oven safe pan. Top the bratwurst with the beer (or water) and the beans, then cover with a lid or wrap tightly in aluminum foil.

Place the covered pan in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the lid or foil and return to oven for 5-10 minutes to reduce sauce. Bratwursts must reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Cover, and transfer to a steam table or other warmer to hold for service.

For service, remove bratwurst from "bean bath" and slice. Serve with beans over warm pretzel.

YIELD: 40-45 servings, varies based on bratwurst size.
