• 4 all beef hot dogs - sliced into bite-sized rounds

• 1 onion, chopped

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• 1/4 cup olive oil - divided

• 1/2 cup chopped celery

• 1/2 tsp chili powder

• 1/2 tsp paprika

• For extra heat, add a 5oz. can of sliced jalapeños!

Instructions

Pre-heat a large chili pot and add half of the olive oil. Brown ground beef until cooked through - drain excess liquid/fat. Add hot dogs and sauté for about 3 minutes. Add the remaining olive oil, diced onions, chopped celery and garlic. Cook until the onions are somewhat translucent.

Add chili powder and paprika, stir to combine.

Turn heat to low and add tomatoes, beans and jalapeños if desired. Bring to simmer for about 30 minutes to let the flavors incorporate, stirring frequently. Add salt and pepper. Serve immediately in bowls, garnished with sour cream, cheese, green onions or whatever else you love to garnish chili with!

> To make this recipe in a crock pot, transfer all the ingredients after browning the beef and hot dogs and sautéing the vegetables to your crock pot and cook on low for about 4-6 hours.
